Can we take a moment to discuss the chaotic aftermath of that 'goodnight kiss' ritual? I am honestly still laughing while typing this! The contrast between these two is just peak comedy. On one hand, you have Taku sleeping like a absolute baby, peaceful, sound asleep, probably dreaming about endless tuna salmon treats and warm sunbeams. On the other hand, you have poor Mika, wide awake, staring blankly at the ceiling in total darkness while having a blushing, heart-pounding existential crisis.
Honestly, isn't it both hilarious and completely adorable how Taku, in his human form, can finally voice all the ridiculous thoughts he held back as a cat? Think about it! Back when he was just a little furball, all Mika heard was a simple "Meow" whenever she picked up her keys to leave. But now? He is a tall, devastatingly handsome man literally pouting and confessing his severe house-cat separation anxiety! "Don't leave me alone, I get so bored and lonely waiting for you!" Seeing a gorgeous guy dramatically clinging to her because he doesn't want to be left home alone is just pure gold. It’s funny, sweet, and totally heart-melting all at once.
Mika, being the soft-hearted girl she is, just couldn't resist those golden kitty-cat eyes. Promising to bring him to campus was a bold move, but watching her frantically attempt a emergency makeover mission was even better! Trying to find decent clothes for a guy who spent his whole life wearing nothing but a fur coat? Total disaster, but so much fun to write!
However, the real drama is just getting started, isn't it? Mika is trying her absolute best to navigate this wild new reality and find a solution for both of them. But even with a handsome, devoted ex-feline living under her roof, her heart is still playing tricks on her. The moment she steps foot on campus and catches a glimpse of Kyo... boom! The butterflies are back in full force! Her heart still does complete cartwheels for Kyo.
She has a clingy, affectionate cat-turned-human waiting on her every move, yet she’s still swooning over her long-time campus crush! How is Mika going to balance her secret 'pet' life while hiding her blushing face from Kyo? Will Taku’s cat instincts kick in if he senses Kyo getting too close?
