In this chapter, right after the shocking transformation of her cat into a handsome human, Mika faces an immediate, practical, and very embarrassing problem: Taku has absolutely nothing to wear! Determined to fix the situation before anyone notices, she heads to the mall to buy him a proper set of clothes. However, fate has a surprising twist in store for her! While browsing through the men's section, Mika unexpectedly runs into Kurosaki Kyoshiro, her long-time campus crush and ultimate first love! To her absolute surprise, the handsome Kyoshiro warmly offers to help her pick out the perfect outfit for Taku. Caught between her secret feelings for her crush and the mysterious cat-man waiting for her back home, Mika’s quick shopping trip instantly turns into a whirlwind of nerves, blushing, and unexpected encounters!
To be completely honest with you guys, I couldn't stop laughing to myself while writing and drawing this scene! 🙈💥 I was trying so hard to think of a plausible excuse for Mika to maintain a good image in front of Kyo. She is officially single, so buying men's clothes suddenly looks SO suspicious! To prevent Kyo from suspecting that she is secretly housing a random handsome guy in her apartment, she comes up with the most ridiculously absurd cover story ever! She claims that Taku is her distant cousin who just arrived from out of town, but his luggage fell into a river, and all his clothes got completely ruined and stained by river algae! Hahaha~! 😭 freshwater logic at its finest! It makes absolutely zero sense, but poor Mika was panicking so hard that her brain just spat out the first ridiculous thing it could fabricate!
I honestly hope Kyo isn't too suspicious of her ridiculous story... or maybe it would be much more fun if he actually gets suspicious and starts overthinking things?! Hehehe... 😜🔥
