After their peaceful day in the village, Lisette and Joshua settle in at a local inn for some much-needed rest. However, the tranquility is short-lived as Joshua’s sharp senses detect a stalker lingering in the shadows. With cold efficiency, he leaves to deal with the threat, ensuring Lisette’s safety remains undisturbed. When he returns and begins to clean up, he carelessly sheds his shirt, caught in a moment of uncharacteristic ease. Lisette is startled by the sudden sight of him, but as her heart races, she is struck by a sobering thought: this man will soon be her husband.
