In this chapter, the mystery intruder turns out to be none other than Joshua’s mother, the Queen Mother herself! She completely interrupts their talk just to strictly order Joshua not to marry a human like Lisette. But of course, our stubborn Werewolf King simply refuses to listen and stands his ground! Hahaha~! 🙈💥
I honestly loved writing and drawing this parent-child dynamic so much. It represents such a timeless, relatable real-life conflict. In the real world, parents often feel they know what’s absolute best for their children’s future, while the children insist on choosing their own path because, after all, they are the ones who have to live that life! It’s a delicate clash between parental authority and personal independence that happens in almost every household, royal or not!
Meanwhile, Lisette is fast asleep, Joshua quietly sneaks into her room just to watch her sleep! Hasn't even been a full day, and he is already missing her this badly?! Talk about a closet romantic hidden behind a tough exterior! Hehehe... I had so much fun drawing that soft, secret moment contrast against his earlier harsh attitude! 🌙✨
poor Lisette is desperate to find any loophole or escape route to return to the human realm, not for herself, but to make sure her beloved Adora is safe. However, Joshua shuts her down instantly and cold-heartedly! He basically marks his stance with that classic, possessive male lead energy: "You belong to me now, and you aren't going anywhere." Hehehe... a bit toxic, but oh so satisfying for the drama! 😜🔥
