Hello, my fantastic readers! Thank you so much for reading Chapter 10 of The Werewolf King's Wife!
Can we take a moment to talk about poor Joshua today? I honestly didn't know whether to laugh at his sheer desperation or feel heartbroken for him! The scene shifting to the next morning with Joshua brooding in total gloom was priceless. Leave it to Finn, our resident sharp-tongued court wizard, to immediately catch on that something went horribly wrong. And boy, did it ever! Who would have thought our powerful, intimidating Werewolf King could be so impulsive? Dropping a sudden, out-of-the-blue marriage proposal on Lisette in the middle of the night, only to get rejected flat-out, is pure comedy mixed with tragic romance! It was a tiny mistake, but it definitely sent our mighty King straight into a full-blown existential crisis.
Finn’s advice was spot on, though! When he suggested Joshua just do whatever worked 500 years ago, it hit us with a massive realization. Back in their past life, it was actually Lisette who pursued him first! Joshua never had to do the courting. Now, the tables have completely turned. In this life, it’s Joshua’s turn to step up, put in the work, and slowly win her heart from scratch. Watching a legendary King figure out how to properly romance a human girl is going to be such a fun ride!
Meanwhile, the scene shifted back to the human world, giving us a sweet update on Adora! Seeing Lisette’s precious younger cousin finally living in a decent home and comfortably brushing her hair before bed brought such a peaceful vibe... right up until that massive cliffhanger hit! Dundundun... Enter our uninvited guest! A werewolf girl who looks completely sweet on the outside, but carries a deeply dangerous edge.
